AIM:

 To Learn and Practise the WHITE notes 
 of the Piano Keyboard.

The Piano Keyboard

The Piano Keyboard is laid out in a 
repeated pattern of WHITE and BLACK
notes.

Learn to find 'C' by playing the first white note
to the LEFT of the group of 2 Black notes.
bullet

Move the mouse over the notes on the
Keyboard above to highlight the names
of the notes.

You hear the sound of each note by clicking
on it. (If your computer has the sound
card set up.)

bullet

"MIDDLE C" is the C in the middle part of full-
sized keyboards.

RIGHT HAND playing

Practise playing Middle C with the THUMB
of your RIGHT HAND.

Play EACH white note using EACH finger in turn:

C use 1 (Thumb)

bullet

D use 2 (Pointer)

bullet

E use 3 (Middle finger)

bullet

F use 4 (Ring finger)

bullet

G use 5 (Little finger)

bullet

Practise stepping up from C to G (1,2,3,4,5)

bullet

Practise stepping down from G to C (5,4,3,2,1)

LEFT HAND playing

Practise playing Middle C with the 
LITTLE FLINGER of your LEFT HAND.

Play EACH white note using EACH finger in turn:

D use 4 (Ring finger)

E use 3 (Middle finger)
