The Eaton Diary of London 2001
Today we went to church where Royalty have worshipped from the time of King Henry VIII. The Chapel at Hampton Court still functions as a congregation and is one of Queen's Chapels Royal. She wasn't present today, but it was a special day for the congregation because it was day of the traditional football match between the boys of the Chapels Royal, St James Palace and Hampton Court. The choirs combined to give beautiful music during the service before changing out of their robes to vie for supremacy on the football field.
