We use the first 7 letters of the alphabet 
to name the PITCH of musical notes.

As we climb up the ladder of musical 
pitches, the musical alphabet is repeated 
every 8 steps - (8 = OCTAVE)

A Play 8  an OCTAVE higher
G Play 7  é
F Play 6  é
E Play 5  é
D Play 4  é
C Play 3  é
B Play 2  é
A Play 1  é
